This Photo Take By News 18There's a FASTag deadline that matters. It's crucial to update your FASTag KYC information before the January 31 deadline if you often drive on highways or must pass through toll gates on your daily commute.
After January 31, 2024, banks will deactivate or blacklist all FASTags with missing Know Your Customer (KYC) updates, even in circumstances where there is an acceptable amount, according to a recent announcement by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). Intentional non-fixing of FASTags on vehicles, issuing numerous FASTags for a single vehicle, and dispersing FASTags without KYC verification are all prohibited by this provision.
FASTag: What is it?
FASTag is an electronic highway toll collection system that monitors passing traffic and facilitates the payment of toll taxes at toll plazas. RFID technology is used when a tag that is linked to a bank account or prepaid card is applied to the windshield of an automobile.
